Tomorrow (Saturday, December 13), the ever-popular Wickmas celebration will be opening up its doors once more.

And organisers have this year promised a bumper festival packed with a plethora of wintry magic.

The event is being staged by the Wick Information Centre, in conjunction with many traders.

Julie Roby, Wick inform-ation centre manager, said: “It will be fantastic. It’s like Christmas brought to Wick and it will be a special day for the whole community.

“It’s definitely different from turning the Christm-as lights on. This is more fun. It’s like a big party.”

The action is once again taking place at Wick Hall, in Wick Street, between 11am and 2pm.

And with all the attractions being held indoors, dismal weather won’t be able to dampen the day’s festive spirit.

Little elves will be able to test their skills at a Santa workshop from 11.15am.

At 11.30am there is a live performance from Sparkles Variety Group, followed by a Punch and Judy show. Live music will take place from 12.30pm with a unicycle demonstration from 1pm. There are lots of stalls, too.
