VIDEO: Jive Aces swing Shoreham

SHOREHAM swung to the sound of The Jive Aces as guests danced the evening away to raise money for charity.

The charity event, organised by Adur Council chairman Mike Mendoza for Chestnut Tree House, was enjoyed by young and old at the Shoreham Centre yesterday.

Guests included Worthing mayor Bob Smytherman, ‘Mr Lurve’ Ambrose Harcourt and actress Carol Cleveland.

Entertainment was provided by The Doo-Wop Dolls, Rat Pack man Dene Ager, Rebecca Grant from Holby City, Keith Ball and, of course, The Jive Aces.

Mr Mendoza said: “What an amazing event, I wanted to put on a show never seen in Shoreham before and my goodness, did we achieve it.

“One of the most exciting parts of the event for me was to see the faces of the 160-strong audience who smiled from the beginning to end and received some marvellous comments as they left.”
