VIDEO: Performers at The Bay’s open mic night

THE owner of The Bay pub, in Brunswick Road, Worthing, claims to have brought a piece of Hove to the town.

Fiona Driscoll, who has owned The Bay for around two years, said: “We have transformed it. It’s a nice welcoming place and people are treated like family the moment they walk through the door.”

Shaun Clarke, known as Shaun the chef, is a level seven trained sushi chef, which means he can prepare poisonous fish, such as blowfish, and he also has two rosettes to his name.

Fiona described his food in the pub’s restaurant as phenomenal.

Every Monday, The Bay holds an open mic night from 8pm, which is free to enter, Sunday is quiz night, and once a quarter they put on something ‘peculiar’ to set them apart from other pubs.
