VIDEO: Woman arrested in Elm Grove after knife harm threat

A WOMAN was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage after threatening to harm herself with a knife at a home in Elm Grove this afternoon (Thursday, March 6).

Police and paramedics were called to the Worthing street at 1.45pm, with a 39-year-old woman arrested on criminal damage charges.

She is currently in custody.

Eye-witness Elliot Winfield, 19, said: “I saw a woman taken out in handcuffs. She was shouting abuse.

“I saw two ambulances, a four by four police car, two police cars and a boy also came out of the house carrying a pug dog, crying.

“The woman was jumping around, being restrained.”
