VIDEO: Worthing Hospital is flooded

FIREFIGHTERS spent more than four hours at Worthing Hospital after its basement flooded.

They were called to the hospital, in Lyndhurst Road, at 11.31pm last night (Sunday, June 10) and were pumping water out until 3.45am today (Monday, June 11).

A spokeswoman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said no patients were affected by the flooding, and nobody had to be evacuated.

Across Sussex, fire crews were called out more than 200 times last night to weather-related incidents.
