THE Olympic torch has been working its way around the UK for more than 50 days, and on Monday (July 16) it finally arrives in Worthing and Lancing.
It will start at Lamorna Grove, near to Broadwater Green, at 4.29pm, with each torchbearer running a 300-metre stretch through the two towns.
At the change-over points, the torches will “kiss” before the next person starts their run.
The torch will visit streets including Broadwater Street West, Broadwater Road, Chapel Road, South Street Square, Marine Parade and Brighton Road before arriving at Brooklands Pleasure Park at 5.14pm.
The relay will then visit South Street and Grinstead Lane, Lancing.
Further details of the route, activities on the day and a map are in today’s Worthing Herald (Thursday, July 12 edition).
