A Met Office weather warning has been issued for Sussex tomorrow (Tuesday June 7).
The yellow ‘be aware’ warning is that heavy, thundery showers could turn locally torrential with the risk of hail during the afternoon and evening, bringing a risk of localised flooding.
The warning adds that: “Warm, moist air from the continent will be made more unstable by a system coming over it from the Atlantic, bringing the risk of 20mm or more in an hour and 50mm in a few hours.”
The warning is currently in place from 1pm until 9pm.
At the moment the forecast for the rest of the week is for sunny spells and some cloud with temperatures in the 20s, until the weekend when it may get slightly cooler.
