Jessica Morrod met life model Matthew Oghene in an ‘unusual’ date on the Channel Four show last year.

The couple instantly clicked – and in a tantalising preview at the end of last week’s show, viewers saw Matthew pop the question.

Tonight’s episode will reveal whether a fairy tale ending is in store.

Speaking to the Herald last year, Jessica said: “We literally met on camera for the first time and up until then we had only seen a profile of each other and a bit of a biography.

“It was really interesting and there was a lot more to it than was seen on the show.”

Jessica’s date with Matthew, who struggled with a stammer, was the talk of social media when the programme aired last January.

Matthew surprised his date with an exacting desire for a woman with 16.5-inch shoulders.

Fortunately, Jessica’s 16-inch shoulders were acceptable – and confirmed when Matthew whipped out his tape measure on their first date.

“It was one of the most unusual dates I have been on, particularly when he pulled out the tape measure.

“Initially, I was quite thrown by it but I didn’t mind and my reaction was totally genuine. Afterwards, I kind of thought ‘what was that about’ because I didn’t know any of the back story.”
