A weekend of sun at the Sompting festival

HUNDREDS of people enjoyed the sunshine this weekend at the Sompting July festival.

The weather was scorching and families came out to enjoy the attractions which included a funfair, dog show, football tournament and live music.

Pupils from Sompting Village School put on a song and dance performance which was popular with the festival’s visitors.

Organiser Chris Servante said: “I must congratulate them for an absolutely wonderful show, it was almost like an Olympic opening ceremony.”
