Wick house fire was ‘accidental’

FIRE investigation officers said the fire at a cannabis factory in Wick was ‘accidental’ after examining the scene.

No more details have emerged of how it happened, with officers just saying it was not started deliberately.

Police are still seeking a man who was seen pedalling away from the house, in Glenavon Mews, Lineside Way, off Clun Road.

He stole a pink bicycle from a bystander around 4.30am and cycled off.

Police confirmed 45 cannabis plants were found when officers arrived at the house.
