WINTER WARMERS: Donations keep on coming in

The Herald and Gazette would like to thank all who have donated their winter items for our Winter Warmers campaign, with hundreds of items now filling our stock cupboard almost to the brim.

But – there is always room for more donations, and the Herald and Gazette are still asking for you to donate your unwanted winter items to help keep the homeless and the elderly warm this winter.

Working in collaboration with Age UK West Sussex and Worthing Churches Homeless Projects (WCHP), collection points have been set up across the Herald and Gazette area for you to donate your items – be it a coat, hat, scarf or blanket.

Businesses and community groups can also get involved – Chichester College has recently agreed to lend a hand to the campaign by putting up posters and collecting coats to be donated at a later date.

You can donate your item at the following places:

- Worthing Herald office, Cannon House, Chatsworth Road, Worthing, BN11 1NA.

- Worthing Churches Homeless Projects charity shop, 117 Montague Street, Worthing, BN11 3BP.

- Age UK West Sussex charity shop, 15B Surrey Street, Littlehampton.

- Age UK West Sussex charity shop, Unit 1, The Vinery, Brunswick Road, Shoreham, BN43 5ZA

What to donate: AGE UK West Sussex and WCHP have specifically asked for coats, hats, scarves, gloves and blankets to be donated.

Other items, such as duvets or socks, are not required. All donated items need to be in a clean and wearable condition.
