Woman punched in Worthing town centre robbery

A WOMAN was punched, kicked and forced to hand over the mobile phone as she walked in Chapel Road.

The victim was walking with a group of women past Blockbuster when they were approached by a group of teenage girls.

It is believed there was an argument over a boy and one of the teenage girls punched the victim in the face.

Both groups separated, but they met up a short while later, when the victim was kicked to the ground by the same girl and forced to hand over her mobile.

The incident happened just after midnight on Sunday, March 15.
