Police were called to the incident in Highdown Drive, Littlehampton at 10.14am this morning (January 20) after receiving reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “A 70-year-old woman was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital with serious head injuries.

“The road is currently closed between the A259 and Cornwall Road while enquiries continue.”

Witnesses are asked to email [email protected] or phone 101, quoting Operation Gedding.
