A WOMAN had to be extricated from her car with suspected spinal injuries after a collision in Worthing last night (Monday, August 6).

Fire crews were called to Dominion Road, at the junction with Dominion Close, at about 7.20pm after two cars had collided.

One driver had already escaped, but firefighters had to cut the roof off the other car to remove the female driver, as it was believed she had spinal or head injuries.

The woman was taken to Worthing Hospital for treatment – her injuries were not as serious as originally thought.
