Worthing and Chichester court results

THE FOLLOWING are court results for Chichester and Worthing magistrates’ courts from October 6 to 9.

Paul Hickey, 49, of Marine Place, Worthing, was jailed for a total of 20 weeks. He was sentenced to 16 weeks’ prison after being found guilty of exposing himself in Victoria Park, Worthing, on August 21, 2015. He received two weeks concurrent after admitting failing to surrender to custody on July 20, 2015; two weeks concurrent for assaulting a police constable on April 15, 2015; four weeks consecutive after admitting assaulting a police constable on August 5, 2015; two weeks concurrent after admitting obstructing a police constable on August 5, 2015; two weeks concurrent after admitting using threatening words or behaviour on August 5, 2015. He must pay £80 victim surcharge, £400 costs and £1,000 criminal courts charge. He also admitted disorderly behaviour while drunk in Marine Parade, Worthing, on July 11, 2015, and being drunk and disorderly in Steyne Gardens on August 5, 2015, no separate penalty.

Brian Beacher, 56, of Highdown Avenue, Tarring, was given a community order after admitting drink-driving (102mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) in Highfield Road, Tarring, on September 19, 2015. He must pay £60 victim surcharge, £85 costs, £150 criminal courts charge, and was disqualified from driving for 23 months.

Timothy Ledward, 24, of Windlesham Gardens, Shoreham, was discharged conditionally for one year and must pay £15 victim surcharge, £85 costs, £150 criminal courts charge, after admitting obstructing a police constable in Windlesham Gardens on September 19, 2015.

Colin Mackay, 55, of Cumberland Road, Angmering, was fined £290 and must pay £29 victim surcharge, £85 costs, £150 criminal courts charge, after admitting drink-driving (79mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) on the A259 Rustington on September 20, 2015. He was disqualified from driving for 20 months.

Shelly Minchin, 34, of Rowlands Court, Rowlands Road, Worthing, was fined £100 and must pay £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, £150 criminal courts charge, after admitting driving without due care and attention in Upper Brighton Road, Worthing, on April 24, 2015. Her driving record was endorsed with three points.

Deejay Aldridge, 20, of Marine Court, Brighton Road, Lancing, was given a community order and must carry out 80 hours’ unpaid work after admitting assaulting a police constable in Brighton Road, Lancing, on September 5, 2015. He must also pay £50 compensation, £60 victim surcharge and £150 criminal courts charge.

Gary Croydon, 63, of Slonk Hill Road, Shoreham, was fined £130 after admitting driving over the 30mph speed limit in Lewes Road, Brighton, on September 5, 2014. He was fined a further £200 after being found guilty of driving over the 30mph speed limit in Lewes Road, Brighton, on August 16, 2014. He was also fined £400 after being found guilty of driving over the 30mph speed limit in Lewes Road, Brighton, on August 9, 2014. He must pay £40 victim surcharge, £135 costs. His driving record was endorsed with a total of ten points.

Anthony Addis, 47, of Windsor Road, Worthing, was given a community order after admitting damaging the passenger door of a Jaguar car in Rowlands Road, Worthing, on August 23, 2015. He also admitted assaulting a police constable and must pay £100 compensation, £60 victim surcharge, £100 costs and £150 criminal courts charge.

Ben Wood, 24, of River Road, Littlehampton, was discharged conditionally for 18 months after admitting stealing a £69.99 DVD boxset from HMV, Worthing, and fraud by false representation, having tried to sell stolen goods as his own. He must pay £194.97 compensation, due to offences taken into consideration, plus £15 victim surcharge, £85 costs and £150 criminal courts charge.

Andrew Lewis, 31, of Lansdowne Road, Littlehampton, was fined £40 and must pay £175 compensation, £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting stealing a bicycle worth £175 from Angmering railway station on March 11, 2015.

Darren Brewer, 27, of Stean Furlong, Wick, was fined £115 and must pay £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting driving over the 30mph speed limit in Lewes Road, Brighton, on April 11, 2014. His driving record was endorsed with three points.

Jonathan Jackson, 48, of South Street, Lancing, was fined £770 and must pay £77 victim surcharge, £85 costs, £150 criminal courts charge, after admitting driving without due care and attention on the A27 Clapham on April 14, 2015. He was also fined £515 after admitting driving over 70mph on the A27 Clapham on April 14, 2015. He was disqualified from driving for 56 days.

Jordan Tingley, 22, of The Gardens, Southwick, was fined £660 and must pay £66 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after being found guilty of failing to identify a driver when required by police in Shoreham on January 27, 2015. He was fined a further £660 and must pay £85 costs, after being found guilty of failing to identify a driver when required by police in Shoreham on February 16, 2015. His driving record was endorsed with six points and he was disqualified from driving for six months due to repeat offending.

Ivana MacCarrone, 25, of Windsor Road, Worthing, was fined £120 and must pay £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting driving over the 30mph speed limit in Broadwater Road, Worthing, on December 31, 2014. Her driving record was endorsed with four points.

Kevin McPhoy, 30, of Dolphin Lodge, Grand Avenue, Worthing, was fined £150 and must pay £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, £150 criminal courts charge, after admitting driving over 70mph on the A23 Pyecombe on April 30, 2015. His driving record was endorsed with four points.

Jacqueline Beardon, 41, of Mardale Road, Worthing, was fined £220 and must pay £22 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after being found guilty of driving over the 60mph speed limit on the A24 Shipley on April 7, 2014. Her driving record was endorsed with three points.

Dylan Gibson, 37, of The Winter Knoll, Littlehampton, was fined £270 and must pay £87 victim surcharge, £85 costs, £150 criminal courts charge, after admitting driving over 60mph on the A24 West Grinstead on May 22, 2015. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

Kevin Green, 34, of Walton Close, Salvington, was fined £120 and must pay £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, £150 criminal courts charge, after admitting failing to stop at a red light in Upper Brighton Road, Sompting, on July 2, 2015. His driving record was endorsed with three points.

Scott Holden, 27, of Myrtle Crescent, Lancing, was fined £440 and must pay £44 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after being found guilty of driving over the 30mph speed limit in Brighton Road, Lancing, on March 22, 2015. His driving record was endorsed with six points.
