Worthing assault victim appeal

POLICE are appealing for the victim of an assault to come forward.

Details have just been released about the incident when a man who was in his 20s and had dark, afro-style hair told police he had been assaulted at about 1.45am on Wednesday, August 4.

He left the scene after officers went to track down his attackers.

The victim said two white men, whom police had seen walking past the front of Worthing Baptist Church in Christchurch Road, were responsible for the attack.

The first was wearing a dark-grey hooded top, was of slim build, about 5ft 11in tall and had short darkish hair.

The second was 5ft 11in tall and had short, darkish hair. He was wearing a light-grey hooded top.

One of the men was carrying a bottle of white wine.
