Martin Pace, the nursery’s director, said: “We like to choose a charity and raise as much as we can over a year or two and Children on the Edge is a very worthy cause. It was a fantastic day bringing together nursery staff, families, friends and children. We had a party in the nursery garden afterwards and raised money from donations from parents.”

Based in Chichester, Children on the Edge gives hope, and aims to return childhood, to children leading lives in barren, difficult places.

The nursery set out to raise £1500 from the day. Donations are still coming in and the nursery hopes to meet its target.

The Reflections staff have a strong fundraising background. Between 2007 and 2009, they raised £20,000 to build a school in Ghana, for the charity, Plan UK.
