Worthing bingo hall set for relaunch

Everyone is welcome at the official launch party on Friday, September 28, and people will have the opportunity to play to win in a £500 mega prize draw.

Gala Leisure, which runs the bingo hall at The Plaza, in Rowlands Road, is relaunching all its clubs with a new name, with the aim of bringing a bigger sense of community to the popular numbers game.

The former Gala Bingo will be renamed Buzz Bingo, along with more than 100 other bingo clubs across Britain this month.

Simon Shaw, chief retail officer, said: “When we asked our customers and colleagues to name a single word to describe their bingo experience, the word ‘buzz’ came up time and time again, so we named our clubs after that feeling.

“We pride ourselves on our community spirit and our friendly and supportive team is buzzing about being part of your next fun day or night out with friends and family.”

The party at Buzz Bingo Worthing starts at 7pm with free drinks and the ribbon cutting will be cut at 7.30pm.

Buzz Bingo will become the UK’s biggest chain of bingo clubs with more than 100,000 bingo players winning nearly £3million every week.

The company said the clubs will retain the friendly feel and welcoming staff.
