EVER since she was a little girl, it had been Danielle Giles’ dream to arrive at her wedding on horseback.

So it really was a dream-come-true when the 24-year-old rode to her Worthing wedding reception on her horse, Obee, on Friday.

Danielle rode from Grand Avenue to Heene Road, where the reception was being held in The Gallery. She was accompanied by her four-year-old daughter Daisy-May who was riding her Shetland pony Charlie, which was led by her new husband, Ryan.

She said: “The day couldn’t have been more perfect. I managed to get onto Obee using a step ladder, and it wasn’t too bad even though my dress was quite big.

“The traffic was stopping, and people were getting out of their cars to ask if they could have a picture taken with us and old ladies were waving at us from the bus. We got so much more of a reaction that I thought.”

Danielle and Ryan, 27, got married at St Mary’s Church in Church Lane, Sompting. Danielle was then driven to Grand Avenue where a friend had brought Obee along in a trailer. The couple, who live in Clifton Road, Littlehampton, also have a nine-week-old daughter called Willow.
