Worthing care home among top 20 in south east

A Worthing care home is celebrating after being recognised in a top 20 list for the south east.

The Shelley, in Shelley Road, Worthing, won an award from carehome.co.uk after being named among the most recommended care homes in the region.

Nada Wakeford, manager of The Shelley, said: “We feel honoured that our residents and their friends and families have taken the time to share their experience of life at The Shelley and have given us such an outstanding feedback.

“Being in the top 20 of the best care homes is a fantastic achievement of our hard working, dedicated staff team and something that we are all so very proud of.”

The leading guide to care homes gave awards to the top 20 homes out of 3,220 in south east England. The choice was based on recommendations from residents, their friends and relatives.

Davina Ludlow, director of carehome.co.uk, said: “We feel the best people to rate a care home are the residents and their families and friends. Their recommendations show that so many care homes are warm and inviting places to live where residents receive loving and compassionate care.
