Worthing care home to close earlier than planned

WORTHING charity Guild Care has been forced to close one of its care homes earlier than planned because of funding shortages.

In January, the charity “regretfully” made the decision to close Ashmount Care Home in Southey Road – one of its long-established facilities.

Guild Care planned to close Ashmount by June, but has now made the decision to close it by the end of April.

Since January, the charity has relocated 22 of the residents to other care homes it owns in Worthing, with 10 residents moving to other providers.
