Worthing College students spread their wings after exam success

Students at Worthing College have been celebrating their success and planning futures across the country after receiving their A-level results this morning.

Andrew Jeffry, 18, has been offered a place at Cambridge to study Computer Science after getting two A*’s and an A grade.

He said: “I am very relieved right now. It was nice to see all of the hard work pay off. Now I just want to have fun, work hard, and embrace the university life.”

Nola Wakeham, 18, is going to Northbrook College to study Music Performance after deciding to focus on a specific vocation.

She said: “It was what I expected, last year I was really disappointed so when I came to Worthing I have improved, and I can say I am keeping my options open, and at the end of the day, doing what feels right.”

17 year-old Hannah, who is going to Durham University to study Chemistry, said: “I just really liked the look of the area, with lots of old buildings and a mix of people from international cultures. It should be really fun.”

Sophie Collings, 18, who is going to study Maths at Southampton University said: “I really liked Southampton because I liked the vibe and it was so different to the other universities I had looked at, and it’s quite a prestigious university.”

Lucy Chambers, 18, who is going to Brighton University to study Nursing added: “I have always wanted to help people and it is so good I now have the opportunity to do that, and I can specialise.”
