Max Harbron, who leads the new homes teams, has been promoted to an associate director, and head of land and commercial Jon Justice has also been promoted to an associate director.
Both are stepping into new roles following what has been the busiest year for new developments throughout the company’s 30-year history.
The news reflects the company’s vision to provide clients with a full-service property experience with a joined-up approach for land owners and developers.
After joining the business in 2008 as a negotiator, Max Harbron went on to manage the Worthing sales team for several years, and was then instrumental in the inception and expansion of the new homes department.
Over the past 12 months Michael Jones & Company has been involved in more than 20 new-build schemes, most notably the 141-apartment Bayside development by Roffey Homes.
The success of this project has been unprecedented and, so far, 50 per cent of the apartments are now sold with contracts exchanged pending completion in 2020.
Max has also successfully managed the launch of further developments including Home Guard Mews in Broadwater, Luxor Court in Lancing, and Worthing developments Causeway Place and Lennox Gate.
Max Harbron said: “After ten years with Michael Jones & Company I am thrilled to have been given this opportunity within the vibrant and ever-expanding team.
“I look forward to continuing to provide both existing and new clients with a bespoke service in relation to their new homes projects no matter how big or small they may be and offering outstanding customer service throughout the entire process from acquisition to disposal”.
Jon Justice also joined the company ten years ago as a negotiator.
The commercial department has grown significantly since 2008 and the five-strong team occupies the first floor of the Worthing headquarters.
As demand for specialist commercial services continues to grow, so has the need for expert land and development advice.
This new role means that Jon will continue to work closely with his clients in commercial transactions, while focussing on land and development.
With sound knowledge of the local market and a wealth of experience in resolving complex transactions, Jon will provide advice and guidance to landowners and purchasers.
Mike Jones, managing director, said: “We are excited to announce these recent and well-deserved promotions.
“Both Max and Jon are outstanding members of the team and this is testament to their hard work and commitment to our clients.
“We are looking forward to another busy and successful year as we head into 2019”.
