A brave girl has shaved her long locks to raise money in memory of her dad who died from cancer in August.
Tia Imbimbo, 12, of Barton Close, Worthing, came up with the idea shortly after her dad, Toni, died of Type B lymphoma.
She had her hair shaved off at Trendz Barbers in South Farm Road, Worthing, last Wednesday.
The initial £150 fundraising target was met within hours and almost £1,500 has now been raised for Cancer Research.
Tia said: “This summer holidays, I lost my dad to cancer and it was such a hard time because I watched him die and as he died I thought about all our memories, everything he did for me, and made me remember how little I did for him.
“This is my way of giving something back to him, in his memory.
“ Cancer is such an evil disease and anything I can do to get rid of it and stop others from suffering like my dad had to, I will do.”
