Chris showed students, teachers and librarians how he trained in martial arts and personal protection to write his incredibly popular Young Samurai and Bodyguard series. He showed the class some basic techniques (kihon waza) with his Samura Sword (Katana), which had all students transfixed.

Mrs Phelan, the learning resources manager, said: “The book signing queue was nearly out of the door and this shows how much these events inspire students to read, a great start to World Book Week.”
