Worthing Lions Club announces Easter ‘fun’

Following the ‘successful’ Tide of Light firework event in November, Worthing Lions Club has once again joined forces with Bartie presents events company and William Cole’s funfair for a weekend of activities over Easter.

The Sundowners event, in association with Coast Café, will start the festivities at 5pm on Good Friday (April 18).

There will be music and entertainment on Worthing beach and street food will be available.

William Cole’s funfair will be along the prom and in Montague Place until the end of the Bank Holiday weekend.

Marian Down, PR officer for Worthing Lions, said: “The partnership between Worthing Lions Club, Bartie Presents Events Company and William Cole’s funfair has proved very successful in the past with thousands attending the Tide of Light and it is hoped people will come back to Worthing Seafront for more fun this Eastertide.”

Easter Saturday (April 19) will see The Emporium Market, selling local produce, in Montague Place between 10am and 4pm as well as an open mic tent. In the evening there will be live music and a real ale bar in Montague Place, open until 10pm.

On Easter Sunday (April 20) Bartie’s Beach Boutique will hold an artisan market along the prom, from 10am until 5pm, with local artists, craftsmen and independent traders.
