Worthing man to represent Britain in international minigolf

A Worthing man has said he is '˜delighted' to be representing Great Britain in a major minigolf tournament this month at the Nations Cup in Portugal.

Paul Preston, 41, of Collingwood Road, will be part of a team of three travelling to Vizela for the tournament on May 14, which will be Paul’s international debut.

The team is being sent by the British Minigolf Association as part of a number of events taking place across Europe.

Paul said: “I am looking forward to it immensely. I have always had an interest in golf but as you get older you don’t have as much time to play.

“When I found out I had been selected to go, it was really a mixture of feeling proud and amazed. I was delighted, and I thank the association for recognising how my ability has grown over a short space of time.”
