Worthing MP’s tribute to Margaret Thatcher

WORTHING WEST MP Sir Peter Bottomley has paid tribute to former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, who has died at the age of 87.

Mr Bottomley served in her government from 1979 and met her on numerous occasions, including in 1975, when she helped him win the Woolwich West seat - the first time he became an MP.

Mr Bottomley said: “History will rightly credit her with restoring Britain in the world and with replacing state controlled industries with high investing.”
