Worthing Museum and actor to feature on TV

WORTHING Museum’s antique treasures were put under the spotlight by film and TV star, Alison Steadman.

The museum and art gallery is a featured venue in an up-coming episode of the new series of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.

The episode was filmed during the summer and stars Alison Steadman and her co-star Larry lamb from BBC comedy, Gavin and Stacy.

Curator Gerry Connolly said: “Working with Alison on the filming of the programme was as delightful as I hoped. Alison showed real interest in the museum and its collections.

“I am looking forward to seeing the finished programme.”

The filming took place in the galleries and behind the scenes of the museum.

Alison, along with professional antique dealer and programme regular Thomas Plant, where shown items from the collection by Gerry.

The new series of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip began on Monday and the episode featuring the museum and Alison is due to air on BBC2 at 6pm on Saturday (September 8).
