Worthing party-goers trapped in lift

SEVEN party-goers got more than they bargained for after the lift they were in broke down.

The people had been to a party in a block of flats in Gratwicke Road, Worthing, and were leaving in the early hours of this morning (Saturday, March 20) when the lift broke.

Worthing firefighters were called to the block of flats at 1.30am and it took them five minutes to rescue the trapped people who were stuck between floors one and two.
