Worthing schoolgirls' enterprising efforts

JEWELLERY and hair accessories created by young entrepreneurs at Davison High School can now be found on sale in a second town centre shop.

The team of girls behind Bijoux, a company set up as part of a competition run by Young Enterprise, were pleased to discover Dollywood, in the Guildbourne Centre, had agreed to stock their handmade products.

Florence Scordoulis, Sammy Fairman, Amy Dighe, Sylvia Yong and Abbie De Vries, who go to the school in Selborne Road, East Worthing, have been running Bijoux since September.

Bijoux is also stocked in Booty Boutique in Montague Place, Worthing.

Florence said: "We are really pleased Dollywood has also agreed to sell our products.

"We have really enjoyed running the business and wish we could do it for another year."

There are a number of other businesses being run by students at Davison and other schools, and Young Enterprise will announce which one has been most successful at the end of April.
