WORTHING singer-songwriter Greg Harper will host his sixth annual fundraising concert in aid of Alzheimer’s Society on Saturday.
Celebrated for his ability to combine evocative melodies with thought-provoking lyrics, the UK Song Writing Competition finalist will join forces with other musicians at Clapham and Patching Village Hall at 7.45pm.
The event, Storytellers in Song, will feature moving and uplifting original songs by Greg Harper and Steve O’Kane, as well as a few favourite cover songs. They will be joined by David Bennett on keyboard and vocals, Fiona McBain on vocals and percussion, and Chris Denman on bass.
Greg said: “I was considering my options for this year’s concert donations when I met a stranger whose circumstances touched my heart.
“I decided then and there to fundraise for Alzheimer’s Society again this year.
“So, this year is for Richard, who I met on the Salcombe Ferry. When words fail, music speaks.”
Seating will be at candlelight tables. Tickets are £8, available on 01903 219249 or visit Greg’s website, www.gregharpermusic.com
