Worthing street closed after man taken ill

RTC AT TARRING OAD WORTHING 10.30 TODAY - AIRLIFTED TO BRIGHTON SUS-160503-154623001

The man is believed to have been riding a bike in Tarring Road when he suffered what Sussex Police have described as a ‘medical episode’ shortly after 10.30am.

The Kent Air Ambulance was called to the scene.

The road was closed while the paramedics treated the man before he was taken to hospital.

Police officers are still on the scene this lunchtime.
