The degree-level students undertook research to plan and produce materials for campaigns based around a drive to tackle and reduce thefts from insecure vehicles.

They worked closely with officers to develop concepts and materials to encourage members of the public to double check that their car door has locked properly.

A range of media was produced, ranging from photography and literature to moving image pieces and radio ads.

On Tuesday, January 28, each student pitched their concept and work to a panel of sergeants from the Neighbourhood Policing Team, a communications manager for Sussex Police and course tutors from the college.

Suzi Reeve, Divisional Communications Manager for Sussex Police said: “Working with the media students at Northbrook College has been a very beneficial and positive process for all involved.

“The students embraced the brief they were given with enthusiasm, producing innovative pieces of work using a variety of media channels.
