They wet off from Sea Lane Café, in Goring, for the sponsored fun walk along Worthing’s seafront, to raise funds for Cardiac Rehab Support West Sussex (CRSWS).

CRSWS is a local charitable trust set up by a group of ex-patients and their carers to give ongoing support to the increasing number of patients of all ages in West Sussex who are suffering or recoveringfrom a cardiac condition.

The charity works with Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to provide a ‘buddy’ support service run by former patients, and offers financial support to organisations and individuals tackling cardiac conditions locally, including exercise instructors, who run classes in the area.

CRSWS trustee Gill Ranson, a Trustee of Cardiac Rehab Support West Sussex, said: “We will be using this money to help local people who have heart disease. So, if you, or someone you know, could benefit from our help or just wants someone to talk to about it, we would love to hear from you”.
