Would-be robber foiled by door in Felpham

The suspect armed with a large knife rushed up to the door of Coral Bookmakers in Felpham Road, at 5.50pm on Saturday, November 5.

He tried to push it open but failed. He then tried again without success and gave up.

Police believe he tried to get into the bookmakers with the intent of robbing it.

The man is described as being about 5ft 11ins, thin and was wearing black trousers, possibly jogging bottoms, a black jacket with a hood and a black scarf around his face and black gloves.

The knife had a black handle and large blade.
