Yapton cat visits Havant by mistake

Buster gave his Yapton owners some paws for thought with a road journey along the coast.

The ginger and white Maine coon clambered into a delivery van on Friday March 7, and went along for the ride.

The next stop was Havant and out he shot to stay over the Hampshire border until Rod and Dianne Taylor managed to track him down.

They found him howling on a shed roof, tired and slimmer than he had been when they last saw him four days earlier.

But he was in overall good health in spite of the potentially cat-astrophic results of being a feline hitch-hiker.

Mrs Taylor said: "Sam, one of our other cats, really had a go at him.

"Obviously, telling him off for going away. The three cats are 'grounded' at the moment.

"We shall certainly keep them away from delivery lorries."
