Yapton launches unique street map

Specially commissioned by the parish council and designed and drawn by local artist David Day, the map shows all the roads and businesses within the village and is illustrated with pictures of the two churches as well as the four pubs.

It also shows the locations of all the bus stops and the services provided by the bus company Stagecoach.

The new map is featured in full colour as a centrespread in this month's issue of Yapton News & Views, the bi-monthly newsletter that is published by the parish council.

Parish council clerk David Tansley and chairman Stephen Haymes hailed it as another first for Yapton when the map went on show on Monday.

Subject to demand, a limited edition print run of 100 A3-size copies of the map will be available.
