Year Eight student named Booktrust art competition winner

A student from Our Lady of Sion School student has won the Booktrust '˜Design a Book Cover' art competition.

Henry Nguyen, a Year Eight student at the Worthing school, designed a book cover for The Many Worlds of Albie Bright, by Christopher Edge.

He was named the winner of the Booktrust’s ‘Design a Book Cover’ competition, which received more than 1,000 entries.

Henry won an illustrated copy of The Marvels by Brian Selznick.

The school library also received a huge selection of new books which students are delighted with.

Dr Orchard, headmaster, said, “Henry is a very talented illustrator and this has been recognised in his win. Booktrust received more than 1,000 entries and we are very proud of Henry’s achievement and grateful for the additional new literature for our library. He is showing so much artistic promise and ability”.
