Young girls make anti-bullying video

THREE young vloggers have had web success with their stand up to bullying YouTube video.

The video, which has attracted over 7000 hits through social media, was created by three young girls in their bedroom.

Hallie Nottage, nine, Miya Harrison, 12, and Amelia Calder, 11, from Worthing, came up with the idea after seeing bullying at school, and decided they didn’t like it.

Amelia said: “I wanted to do something about it because my friend got bullied and I didn’t like it, but I do like making videos on YouTube.”

The video starts with a girl nursing a bloody nose, before moving on to a number of playground scenarios.

It shows two girls playing a number of games, but pushing a third girl away who wants to join in.

It climaxes with the two bullies reading a note from the girl on being lonely, and they then invite her to play.

Miya said: “My favourite part was when we all make up because it shows the message we wanted to show.”

Hallie, who took the video to her school and showed it to her teachers and friends, said: “They all think it is very good.”

Mary-Ann Kirk, mother and aunt of the girls, said: “They said they wanted to make a video about bullying, and then they came to me after they made it, and I was just like, ‘Oh my god!’It’s unbelievable,

“What it does is it gives their interpretation of what bullying is and how to fix it.”

The girls run a YouTube channel called Amelia Queen, which now has five videos including a short film about Brighton.
