Young woman robbed of mobile phone in Worthing

A 19-YEAR-OLD woman was robbed of her mobile phone on Wednesday, April 10.

Just after 2pm, the woman was using the underpass in North Street, Worthing, when she was approached by two young men who took her mobile phone from her after a brief struggle in which she fell to the ground.

They are both described as white, and between 17 to 20 years old.

One was 5ft 9in, of skinny build, with tanned skin and brown hair, which is shorter on the side and longer on top, and his left eyebrow was pierced.

He was wearing a light grey hooded top and biege chinos.

The other suspect was 5ft 6in, of medium build, with blond/sandy coloured hair, and was wearing blue jeans and a white hooded top.

They ran back in the direction of Lyndhurst Road, leaving the victim on the ground where she was helped by passers-by.

She was badly shaken although not injured.
