A big thanks for the awards

May I say a big thank-you to the Herald for hosting the Community Stars awards.

Seaside Hospital Radio was fortunate to win the Arts and Entertainment category.

I would also like to thank Adam Bacchus for nominating us and also all the readers who very kindly voted for us.

This award is a wonderful end to this, our 40th anniversary of providing a radio service to Worthing and Southlands Hospitals. Seaside Hospital Radio receives no direct funding and is run entirely by volunteers, many who have given years of service.

A hospital bed can be a lonely place at times but with its own personal radio service there can always be a friend at the bedside.
