Please will you allow me to apologise to the two paramedics who took me to Goring Hall hospital for a bone marrow scan and brought me home again?
They must have been gasping for a cup of tea and I can’t forgive myself for not offering them one.
Speaking for myself, I really enjoyed my afternoon, thanks to them and the skill of the lady who did the scan.
An added bonus was meeting a friend I had not
seen for a long time, and his
lovely partner. I never even recognised him. I had tried to identify the newspaper he was reading, not realising I knew him. He could have walked out and I still would not have known who he was, it was only when he spoke to me.
