Like Duncan Barkes in the paper two weeks ago, I, too, cannot believe what is happening in our town.
By September, we will no longer have the major bowls tournament, all will have relocated – our town’s largest asset over many years.
Businesses will suffer financially, jobs lost, as more will relocate.
However, we will all be able to sit on the sandy beach in South Street watching the world go by; utter madness but typical Worthing planning.
On a lighter note, congratulations to the two young girls on their choice of name for the new swimming complex, which is perfect.
Perhaps in a few years they could both become town councillors, saving us from some we already have.
