Counting the cost

APPROXIMATELY eight weeks ago at home we lost both broadband and our telephone line, along with several of our neighbours.

We contacted SKY, who as our providers and as seems usual in these situations, were passed from pillar to post.

Evidently, about four weeks ago the fault was established and a hole was dug in the pavement between two BT manholes.

However, the hole can only be left open for three days, we understand, and on the fourth day the hole was filled in, only for BT to arrive unable to carry out the repair, this was on four or five consecutive occasions.

We have been quite flabbergasted, as have our neighbours, at not only the inconvenience of not having broadband or a telephone, but at just how much this must have cost.
