Dredge the lake

Investment in dredging at Brooklands – which, as Marjorie Wright correctly stated (Herald, last week), needs carrying out on a regular basis, ideally every five years – will be a long-term advantage to the town, bringing much-needed revenue from visitors, as well as local people.

If the water is as safe as they say – ‘the water is not deemed harmful to humans’ – perhaps local councillors would care to prove this point by going for a mass ‘dip’, and we shall see if they suffer any of the ill effects such as those suffered by our unfortunate, dead, local wildlife?
