Flooding concern

I AM appalled by the mindless decision by Worthing planners to recommend this application.

It is a known fact that the land is a natural catchment area for the Ferring Rife, which is often brim-full after heavy rain coinciding with hige tides. The Environment Agency knows this and I can’t believe their so-called experts also agreed to the development.

The Rife improvements in the 1980s didn’t forsee building on flood plains, don’t these “experts” understand nature and the forces in can unleash?

If Ferring gets flooded in the future it is no good Worthing Council calling it an “Act of God”. We will be informing our insurers to claim off the council as it would be down to their stupidity and thoughtlessness.
