I am concerned to hear of yet another ancient woodland ready to be destroyed in the name of progress.

Binsted Wood, west of Arundel, is where the bypass is proposed to go. So little ancient woodland is left in this country. Postage stamp-sized areas are forever being squeezed into smaller pieces, so that more cars, more people and more pollution can take its place.

Where does the wildlife go? Will we not be happy until we can go faster and have all our desires met? Who speaks on behalf of those without a voice? When will we take into consideration that nature has an intrinsic right to just be and the earth is not just for humans?
