In last week’s Herald there were not one, but two letters from Liberal Democrat cheer leaders for the EU, extolling the virtues of sending £55 million a day to Brussels so the Europeans can send some of it back to us.
In this union we pay our civil servants to send tax payers money to the EU then pay EU bureaucrats to send it back to us.
Whether it is science or trade agreements, this country has the ability to negotiate in our own best interest.
We do not need Brussels bureaucrats to do it for us.
I hope this is the start of a long exchange leading up to the referendum.
How about taking a serious look at ‘benefits’ of the Common Fisheries Policy next. Any takers?
