LETTER: ‘Minor’ crimes

It is a field day for criminals now that the police force is not up to scratch and just can’t be bothered with what they describe as ‘minor’ crimes.

This is a big problem with our time-honoured justice system and it is allowing criminals to get away with wrongdoing and affecting first-rate citizens who have no means of reparation.

I recently had a neighbour break into my back garden and cut down plants – making a huge mess.

No word to me before doing it.

“Too small to bother with,” say the police.
